Luna and Artemis are the Guardian Cats of the Sailor Scouts. They were very loyal servants to Queen Serenity during the Silver Millenium, which makes them extremely old! They were put in suspended animation during the time until the scouts were reincarnated in their new bodies in the 20th century. Artemis located Mina Aino, Sailor Venus, first and gave her a Transformation Pen to help figth crime as Sailor V. Luna found the other Sailor Scouts and told them of their destiny to fight and destroy the negaverse. Actually, even though the cats were in different places, they were in communication. Luna was relaying messages to "Central Control" who was actually Artemis. Luna and Artemis assist the Sailor Scouts in several ways: they provided the Sailor Scouts with there Transformation Pens and pocket/wrist communicators, they offer advise and encouragement, they tell them of their powers and of their villians. In the 30th century the cats become parents and give birth to Diana, who serves Chibi Usa(Rini).
